Fall armyworms wreak havoc on Farms in Lobonok

Farmers in South Sudan's Lobonok county, are calling for urgent action to halt the spread of a pest that is destroying maize crops and spreading rapidly across the farms in #SouthSudan

The fall armyworm poses a major threat to food security and agricultural production, said a manager of the local” Yapa farm enterprise” in Lobonok.

William Modi told Radio Miraya Reporter, Philip Wani, that three quarters of more than four hundred fedans are severely damaged by the worm and farmers are racing against time to save their crops.
