#2: Kiko Matthews: Life changing challenges - overcoming illness and training to row the Atlantic solo (and break the world record!)

Aug 28, 2017, 03:43 PM

Kiko Matthews shares her amazing story of training to break the world record for fastest Atlantic solo crossing by woman after overcoming serious illness. After suffering a pituitary tumour 7 years ago, Kiko decided to leave her job as a teacher, and start her her own SUP business before deciding to take up rowing in order to challenge the world record for fastest female Atlantic crossing. The path to training was not smooth sailing/rowing however - as you will hear in the intro. Kiko is a total powerhouse of ability and inspiration - choosing what seemed like a crazy goal, going out there and training to make it happen.
