A short cut from the Vocal Chords documentary In Conversation with Glen Hansard on RTÉ lyric fm 7pm Sunday October 29th 2017.

Iarla Ó Lionáird talks with Glen Hansard about how Bob Dylan inspired Glen to set out on his own journey to become a musician. As a young boy of just 12 he took up the guitar and began learning Dylan songs. He became obsessed with Dylan and it was Dylan who was his guiding light in taking to the streets as a busker when he was 15. Glen describes how Dylan became a father figure to him, along with Leonard Cohen and Van Morrison - the trinity - as he calls them guiding his journey.
