Why the Justice System is failing the Vulnerable in South Sudan

Now while, South Sudanese have the right under the law to seek justice, this right means little when you cannot exercise it because you cannot get the help you need.

That's the problem now facing countless people in South Sudan, and it gets worse by the day. Tens of thousands of people who need legal aid are slipping through the cracks in the country’s justice system and we ask why?

Taban Romano, the executive director of the Human Rights Initiative, a non-government organization, explained to Sworo Charles, the complex social and economic challenges encounter by citizens seeking legal support.
