Qualified South Sudanese nationals are being encouraged to apply for international jobs within the United Nations.

This was one of several parting messages by the new UN Under-Secretary-General for Management, Jan Beagle, as she concluded a visit to South Sudan where she met with key government officials and the United Nations staff in South Sudan.

While In Juba, Jan Beagle met with the cabinet affairs Minister, Martin Elia Lomuro, and held extensive discussions with senior UN officials.

Jan Beagle said her first trip to the country was to listen to the experiences of the staff and management and learn the requirements of the mission that tie in to its responsibility to implement its mandate to the benefit of the people of South Sudan.
