Letters from McLynn (Part 2)

As BBC Radio Stoke remembered Stoke on Trent's 'forgotten soldier', we wondering about what James Joseph McLynn's life would have been like in the Army during the First World War.

Many men wrote letters home during the war, unfortunately, we haven’t discovered any letters from James – but we started thinking about what he might have wrote.

These letters are based on the facts and dates we know from unit war diaries and what life was like on the Western Front.
