In a special Christmas Day edition of Pantisocracy the ‘cabaret of conversations’ host Panti Bliss, the unofficial ‘Queen’ of Ireland, hosts a gathering exploring how we draw upon the traditions of being Irish, in language, music, song, poetry and dance to re-imagine anew ourselves and our place in the world.

Her guests in this festive edition are singer and actor Lisa Lambe, Hothouse Flowers frontman Liam Ó Maonlaí, former Riverdance dancer Colin Dunne, musician/composer Seán Mac Erlaine and the poet Doireann Ní Ghríofa. The programme features performances by Lisa Lambe, Liam Ó Maonlaí, Seán Mac Erlaine and Doireann Ní Ghríofa. Liam choose this song to perform as a tribute to her late mother Eithne Lydon who died in October 2017 and he talks about the pain of dealing with that loss and sorrow during the episode. This song was performed by Liam at his mother's funeral.
