Here are five ways to lessen stress during the holidays and all year long:
- Think back to other times when you’ve coped with a tough time, situation, or event. Recycle strategies that worked.
- Find someone to talk to—someone who will listen and, if you want, offer honest, respectful advice.
- If you don’t know how to relax, learn how.
- Laugh. Laughter is a proven stress reducer.
- Simplify. Make a list of things you must do, then cross out at least five.
