We consider the phrase, "He who has ears to hear, let him hear." Jesus wasn't implying that there were a lot of physically deaf people present as He was speaking, He was saying there were some who could truly understand what He was saying and some who could not.

We see two things:

First, why only some could understand what Jesus was saying, and Second, that this is still true today. It is not true that all that is required to be saved is simply listening to the Word. We need to pray that the Lord would open our ears so we spiritually hear it. #Gospel #listening #parables #DeafnessSpiritual
