Livestock Ministry to dispatch medical team to investigate cattle disease in Terekeka
The Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries is dispatching a medical team to investigate the death of hundreds of livestock in Terekeka.
Media reports say up to 5,000 animals died from an unknown disease.
However Dr. Jacob Korok, a Director General of veterinary services says the ministry has recorded only one thousand cattle deaths linked to a suspected Septicemia-bacterial disease in Tali, Terekeka and Nyori counties.
Jacob says a team will tomorrow [Thursday] to collect samples for clinical tests.
