Discrimination a major obstacle to the treatment of HIV and AIDS in South Sudan

The South Sudan HIV / AIDS commission says discrimination is a major obstacle to the treatment of HIV and AIDS. 

The Commission's Chairperson,  Dr Esterina Novello, says a stigma index conducted two years ago indicates high levels of discrimination against HIV patients. 

In light of the Zero Discrimination day observed annually on March 01st, Dr. Esterina spoke to Miraya Breakfast show saying more awareness and public campaigns is needed to educate and change negative attitudes about HIV.
