Assistant Secretary General for field support Wraps South Sudan Visit

The Assistant Secretary General for field support Lisa Buttenheim, has concluded her tour of the Peacekeeping missions in the country.  

During her maiden visit to South Sudan, Buttenheim, saw first-hand the crucial work done by UNMISS peacekeepers in close coordination and cooperation with strategic UN agencies, in protecting civilians and building durable peace in the country.  

She met with key UN officials and spent 24 – hours at the UN Protection of civilians’ site in Bentiu and appreciated the UN family in the country for working together as one.

Ms Buttenheim spoke to spoke with Sebit William and explained her impression of her maiden trip to #SouthSudan.
