Senior army commanders are warning of tough action against officers who recruit children into armed ranks.
This came out of a two-day training workshop organised by the UN Mission in South Sudan in collaboration with the SPLA child protection unit, to remind the senior officers on the six grave violations against children.
The workshop was attended by 50 senior SPLA officers from the General and Division Headquarters who all recommitted themselves to protect children caught in conflict.
The Deputy Commander of Division six, Maj Gen Simon Oputa Duku said the message will be filtered down to the field officers.
