Resolutions of post-migration conference in Maban explained

A post-migration conference between pastoralists and farmers concluded in Maban with a resolution to define migration routes to mitigate conflicts during the migration period.
The two-day conference that concluded last week explored ways of mitigating conflict and ensuring sustainable use of the already limited natural resources during the migration season.
The forum was organized by the United Nations Food and agriculture Agency, - FAO with support from the European Union with an aim of promoting peaceful co-existence between nomadic cattle keepers, host communities and refugees.
The FAO Technical Officer in charge of Food Security Analysis, James Bwirani describes the conference as a ‘success.’
