Woman activist suggests combined approach to eliminating SGBV

Sunday’s remarks come on the heels of the release of a UN report that pinned government soldiers for gang rapes and brutal attacks on civilians, particularly against women and children in parts of Unity State. 

Betty says a combination of grassroots initiatives, better response and policy changes are required to eliminate sexual and gender-based violence.

She spoke with Irene Lasu, Miraya Breakfast show host, outlining what needs to be done to improve response and ultimately eliminate SGBV.
