Sudanese mediators are today expected to brief parties on the outcome of their consultations and announce the way forward on the Khartoum talks.

The mediators have since last Friday been involved in ‘shuttle diplomacy’ and individual discussions with the different delegations seeking agreements in transitional governance and power sharing arrangements.

The discussions were focused on comments received from the parties on a revised version of what is known as the “Entebbe draft proposal” crafted by Uganda president Yoweri Museveni.

The talks were extended till tomorrow, to give the Sudanese Mediators more time to engage in discussions with the different delegations.

Speaking to Radio Miraya from Khartoum, Peter Mayen, Leader of the People’s Liberal Party also member of the Opposition Alliance says the mediators will present the outcome of their consultations in a plenary session today.
