UN Peacekeeping Chief underscores need for heightened participation of women in Peacebuilding

“Peace in South Sudan will not be built without women. It will be built with women." - the UN peacekeeping chief is calling for heightened participation of women in South Sudan’s Peace building processes.

Jean-Pierre Lacroix, was in Bentiu on Monday with a a delegation comprising the Executive Director for UN women, Africa Union Commissioner for peace and security, Africa Union Coordinator for Sudan and South Sudan and Africa Union head of Mission in South Sudan.

He talks about his impression of what he heard and saw on his mission to Bentiu.
