The National Ministry of Health is working with partners to introduce routine Yellow Fever vaccination for all children above the age of 9 months.
This comes as an outbreak was declared in Sakure Nzara county in Gbudue state.
Otim Patrick Ramathan, a health emergencies officer with the World Health Organisation says the Ministry plans to implement the policy by 2022.
Dr. Otim says there is a global shortage of Yellow Fever vaccines but assures that WHO is working closely with authorities to stem the outbreak in Sakure Nzara County.
He spoke to Sebit William in this interview.
