Stuart Hughes reports for BBC News on the return of the Menil Frescoes from the US to Cyprus

A pair of 13th century frescoes - plundered from an Orthodox after the Turkish invasion of Cyprus in 1974 – are returning home to the island today [Friday 16th March 2012]. The Byzantine treasures have been on display in the United States for the past fifteen years as part of an agreement between the Orthodox Church and the art collector who saved them.
