The United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) says it is currently engaging stakeholders to create functional mechanisms for the implementation of the peace agreement in Wau.

UNMISS head of field office Sam Muhumure says the 23 resolutions agreed on at the peace conference have not been implemented due to lack of the mechanisms.

Muhumure described the general security situation in Greater Barh el Ghazal as ‘calm’ and said UNMISS was supporting efforts to reintegrate returning communities.

He spoke to Radio Miraya Breakfast Show.
