How do you define health? Is it being a certain body size? Working out a certain amount of hours a week? Is it getting 8 hours of sleep? Eating the recommended servings of fruit/vegetables on a daily basis? How about finding peace of mind? In your definition of health, did you ever consider mental health wellness as part of your definition of health? Mental health does impacts overall wellness. Yes, we’re talking about your emotions, food choices, fight versus flight responses, and consequently your hormones. They are all connected! In today's episode we have mental health therapist,  Mathew Jean, LMFT, of Beach Stone Counseling, to answer all our questions about the connect between diet and mental health, how the lack of mental health therapy has impact our communities for generations, and what we can do to make a change and break the cycle.
