Role models, gender disparity and the importance of Herstory - The women in tech episode.

Episode 3,   Mar 05, 2020, 01:54 PM

In an International Women’s Day special, we tackle the topic of gender equality in technology.

Despite the work done to highlight the deficit of females taking on tech roles, recent reports suggest there is still much to do. In this podcast, we find out what the blockers are, how hard is it for women to carve out careers in tech and what more can be done to get women into the technology industry.

This time we’ve assembled two guests perfectly placed to get the inside track.

First, we welcome an individual who campaigns tirelessly to increase gender diversity across STEM. Dr. Anne-Marie Imafadion MBE, who among other great things is co-founder of STEMettes, an award-winning social initiative dedicated to inspiring and promoting the next generation of young women in the STEM sectors.

Alongside Anne-Marie is Lucy Hamilton, an Integrations & API Developer at Pace Integration – a new entrant to the industry, Lucy shares her experience and aspirations as a female new to working in technology.
