Brake The Mould Parking Podcast with Steve Clark

Episode 4,   Jun 30, 2020, 12:11 PM

The latest episode of Brake The Mould features one of the industry’s leading figures, Steve Clark, who has been with the B.P.A. for 10 years, helped oversee the launch of POPLA and played a vital role in developing the code of practice - setting the standards for parking on private land in Britain.

We discussed the impacts of COVID-19 on the private parking industry as a whole and looked towards the future of the parking industry. How can the industry recover and when will this be? Steve discussed best practices for members of the British Parking Association in order to not just come out of the crisis in a healthy manner, but better than ever before.

Steve has been busy answering questions of the BPA’s members and we dive into some of the most pressing issues and processes required to return to some form of normality in the coming months.

*This was recorded via remote call, last month, which means that some of the discussions and predictions have come true as well as some of the information being slightly out of date. With the ever-changing landscape, things are changing by the day, which is why we are pushing to share as much information as possible with the parking community.

Steve shared his update in the next steps in developing the new Code of Practice. The BSI and Government are targeting a December 2020 completion date, which has enabled a brief 4 week consultation over the summer.
