William Porter: Alcohol Explained

Season 2, Episode 3,   Oct 01, 2020, 02:15 PM

In this episode, Alcohol Explained author William Porter tells us about the science behind alcohol and why we drink.

In every episode in Series 2, BBC broadcast journalist Sharon Hartley and Guinness World Record holder Freddie Bennett invite a different guest on to the podcast who have in some way inspired their own alcohol free journeys, from AF authors to inspirational Instagrammers.

Alcohol Explained was one of the first quit lit books that Shazza read when she was starting out on her alcohol free journey, and really helped her to understand both alcohol and herself as William takes a scientific approach to what actually happens to your body and mind when you have an alcoholic drink.

If you're on an alcohol free or low alcohol journey - or thinking about starting one - this podcast is for you! Whether you're going completely alcohol free like Sharon or Freddie, or if you're just sober curious... Whether you want to stop drinking for now or quit drinking for good.... Know you're not going it alone!
