Minister of General Education dismisses suggestions to open schools next April

The Minister of General Education Awut Deng Acuil has dismissed suggestions to reopen schools for all classes in April next year as covid-19 holds on and threatens a second wave. 

There are fears that another lockdown will be imposed as many countries are experiencing a second wave of the viral infection.

Minister Awut says they will continue to monitor the situation till it is safe to reopen schools and will seek the advice of the ministry of health.
