Government and Stakeholders Commit to Improve Transparency in South Sudan Extractive Industries

The commitment of Government and other stakeholders to improve Transparency in Extractive Industries, was reached during a conference of Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) under the theme “Seeing results from Natural Resources” and this was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in Collaboration with UNDP and supported by the Norwegian Embassy in Juba.
The Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) is a global standard for the good governance of oil, gas, and mineral resources.
The  Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Hon.  Beatrice Khamisa Wani-Noah, Hon. Puot Kang Chuol, Minister of Petroleum, Mr. Pal Klouman Bekken, Chargé d’Affairés of Embassy of Norway and Mr. Samuel Doe, UNDP Resident Representative sat with Sani Martin around the roundtable to talk about resolutions reached at the just ended conference.
