The Child Protection Unit of the United Nations Mission in South Sudan has reiterated calls on armed forces to stop the use of children in conflict.
This follows the training of 60 military justice officials from the SPLA-IO, SSOA, SSPDF at a three-day workshop on child protection.
The workshop has been organized by the UN Mission in South Sudan and the Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration Commission.
The Chief of the UNMISS Child Protection Unit, Alfred Orono Orono, says the situation has improved but there still children in armed forces that need to be released to their communities.
