How do you define success? I think it’s living a fulfilled life. True fulfillment is focusing on those things that matter most. My life is enriched by having authentic convos with people that inspire me. The beauty of listening to others and observing their experiences is we can learn profound lessons from them without having to go through the same things. 

In this episode I talk with the beautiful soul Bevin Farrand. She has experienced some of the biggest challenges anyone will ever go through. Her optimism and the lens she views life through will light you up. I had major aha’s during my time with her and I know you will too! 

Meet Bevin:

Bevin Farrand is the founder and CEO of Collaborate.Work, which supports small businesses and entrepreneurs in developing and executing strategies to take their revenue to 6- and 7-figures. In 2019, after unexpectedly losing her husband 5 days after they returned from a whirlwind trip to France, she founded the Take the DAMN Trip movement. Her DAMN framework has inspired hundreds to connect with the people that they love, do the “crazy thing” that makes all the difference and, when given a choice, to take the damn trip.

BEVIN’S STORY


In November of 2019 my husband took me on a "crazy," whirlwind trip to France for my 40th birthday.

5 days later he did not wake up.

I've spent the past year adjusting to a new normal as a solo parent of two kids under 4 and running a successful business as now the solo breadwinner of my family. Living without my best friend and the love of my life by my side has been a devastating new normal that I am navigating daily.
What I've learned from this is that none of us has the luxury of waiting. We never know what's going to happen tomorrow — good or bad — and so we must choose to connect with those we love, do the "crazy" thing, and Take the Damn Trip.

I'm passionate about sharing this message with the world, bringing real life stories of inspirational people who have taken the leap and done the “crazy” thing that makes all the difference in their lives. And supporting YOU to do the same.

I’m also having the DAMN Baby. Mark and I were about 60 days away from starting IVF to have our third kiddo. In 2020 I decided to move forward with IVF with the embryos we had frozen. I’m due at the end of July with a little girl who will join my 4 year old daughter and 2 year old son. I’m committed to building this brand to successfully build a life that supports and inspires my family.
I use this framework to achieve my goals as well...whether that’s to build a multi-six figure business in under 18 months (even while grieving the loss of my husband, even during Covid, and especially while being a solo parent) or getting pregnant through IVF after losing Mark. The mindsets are powerful to bring your big, bold, “crazy” dreams to life!
