Connecticut Today with Paul Pacelli: A Democrat Dirty Trick

In this time of questions about school mascot nicknames, "Connecticut Today" with Paul Pacelli discussed the issue and touched on the possibility of the City of Derby losing casino funds from the state because of Derby High School's "Red Raiders" moniker (0:54). Next, former Bridgeport Democratic State Representative Chris Caruso weighed in on that issue, and how the affected towns might respond legally (11:19). Southern Connecticut State University Professor Jonathan Wharton also joined Paul to talk about some of the current issues in the legislative process in Hartford (14:53). To wrap up the show, Paul had some thoughts about another "surprise" found in the state budget "implementer bill" - a previously dead measure that would ok the trial use of traffic cameras in some construction zones (22:49).
