Beautiful Black Sheep

Episode 37,   Sep 20, 2021, 05:55 PM

We’ve had these ideas in our societies of what a “good” person is. Someone who obeys the law, gets good grades in school, mind’s their own business, goes to church on Sunday and pays their taxes. Most of the time true heroes aren’t recognized by the world until way after their time on earth has ended such as Martin Luther King, Abraham Lincoln and Rosa Parks.

They, along with numerous others, were considered defiant, rebels and renegades. People that stood up against the masses not willing to go along with society because in their hearts they knew what was right. We are witnessing a time in history again when the leaders that the masses are following will be considered the tyrants and the people that are brave enough to go against the grain will be considered the heroes.

In my own life, I have been on both sides. When I was young I was the “good little girl” that did what I was told. At some point in my life, I finally stopped following blindly, stepped onto my own path of power, and began listening to my own guidance. I now look at black sheeps very differently. I admire them. They have courage and are strong enough to lead. They are beautiful!
