Every situation is unique. 8 years. That's how long Chris said he waited before he started talking publicly about his NDE. That NDE in 2012 was completely off the radar - at 24 years of age - dying wasn't a hot topic. NDE - not even a remote possibility. His NDE was a catalyst for the learning that came later.
The trigger? Food allergy. Peanuts in Chocolate cake. Chris knew he had a peanut allergy - just how allergic as it turns out? Deathly allergic.
He managed to make it to the hospital where he was nearly incoherent and collapsed at the desk. He's very clear about what happened but has taken several years to integrate the multiple elements and to even talk about it.
As in the case of many who report NDEs, Chris says some of the resulting changes - he is still processing. Immediate surprises included a physical after-effect bonus - amplification of the scent of flowers. Although he doesn't offer personal intuitive readings, the ability is there.
