A closer Look at the Situation within the SPLA IO and its impact to Peace implementation

The SPLM IO has been facing internal wrangles which eventually led the party to be split into two following the break away of the Kitwang faction. Last week, the SPLM-IO in Juba issued a press statement calling for dialogue with its breakaway group after days of  clashes in Magenis area of Upper Nile State.

So how is the situation within the SPLM-IO affecting the peace implementation in the country?
