The Sync Report | Patrick Ecclesine

Season 2, Episode 6,   May 26, 2022, 06:00 AM

In this week’s episode we are joined by Hollywood photographer and director Patrick Ecclesine to talk about filmmaking, NFTs and music, with a guest appearance by film and TV producer & Director Dan Sackheim.

Patrick’s work has been used extensively by Vanity Fair and has been used by all the major film studios. He has shot portraits of many notable celebrities including Angelina Jolie, Steven Spielberg, Jamie Foxx, Nick Jonas, Jennifer Aniston, among others. He has collaborated often with singer Demi Lovato, directing her “Stone Cold” music video and photographing Lovato for her famous "Spontaneous, nude, makeup free photoshoot" for Vanity Fair

Hear about Patrick’s experience of growing up in LA surrounded by kids who end up on screen and what that is like, the importance of music in film and TV and how Patrick went from photographer to filmmaker and his advice on getting your film made.

Listen as they talk about the moment in Miami Vice when In The Air Tonight is sync’d to arguably one of the most iconic scenes in the show, and why it is regularly cited as one of the greatest, most influential moments in TV.

Listen to Jason and Patrick as they discuss NFTs, blockchain and how the younger generation are enjoying avatars. Find out what Patrick is working on now.
