It starts.
Another new season. Another beginning for a bunch of Between the Sticks from now until May.
All the same stuff: Premier League to League Two and anything outside of that which warrants special goalkeeper attention.
And by the same stuff, we do sadly mean an immediate return for Commentary Corner. Jamie Carragher flexed his analytical inadequacies when it comes to goalkeeping in running the rule on Aaron Ramsdale, David de Gea and Robert Sanchez this weekend.
In more positive news...
- Illan Meslier and Edouard Mendy started their respective campaigns in solid fashion - Wes Foderingham sounded the first Goalkeeper Assist klaxon of the season
- Double stops from Christian Walton and David Stockdale helped bag three points for Ipswich and Sheffield Wednesday respectively
- Sol Brynn, on loan at Swindon from Middlesbrough, threw his hand in the ring for a Save of the Week contender
