Show Me Your Wits…End is a place for young, confused creatives to address their obstacles and be reminded that none of us are doing it alone. Although our attitudes are angsty and rebellious as we say goodbye to youth and fight off the rigidness of adulthood, our hopeful, perceptive conversations exchange pieces of knowledge and experience we’ve all accumulated to nourish individual and collective growth. Interviews will interrogate the passions, experiences, identity, and creative work of guests to understand how artistic expression is a community tool for reflecting, reassessing, and healing.
Show Me Your Witz...End Host, Sadia AboHussien, sits down with graphic designer, music curator, and Communications Major DJ Lydia Aga. Aga discusses her recently discovered passion for digital art and her year-old radio show, Diggin thru da Diaspora, on WECB. She brings the audience through the evolvement of her relationship with art and expression as a Black, queer, first-generation Ethiopian American. Not only does she have an eye for color and an ear for music samples, but her writing skills make her exquisite storytelling. When it comes to all the things growth and creation, Lydia isn't shy about sharing the struggles, joy, and lessons she's found along the way.
