Episode summary:
Am I becoming "more autistic"?
There is an ableist tint to this question, that can accompany realising you are autistic later in life, or during any times in which there is just MORE going on.
The MORE might not be the immediate stressors of your sensory or social environment.
They can be the big changes, the emotional, hormonal or physical transitions of life,
the unanswered questions of: what will happen? who am I?
All of which can lead to a waxing and waning of your skills, abilities, energy, access needs and style of expression.
In this week’s podcast episode, I dive into some possible angles on why this might be the case, to normalise being inconsistent.
