It takes a strong backbone to be a real friend, a friend that is willing to tell you the truth when you don’t want to hear it. It takes a great parent to be willing to tell their children the truth when they see them on a path that is not their highest good. It takes a confident coach to be willing to tell their client some hard truths with the risk of offending them.
Surround yourself with real, authentic, true leaders that aren’t just telling you what you want to hear but love you enough to be the hand to reach in and wake you up when you need it.
