Polypoetes escapes the fighting with his life after the Myrmidons, at last, rally to defend the Achaean camp, nearly lost in the aftermath of the disastrous duel between Menelaus and Paris. But not all the heroes of the Achaean forces are so lucky--and Polypoetes makes himself scarce before Achilles's rage finds him.
In Troy, Andromache grieves for the loss of her husband, and struggles to make sense of not only her personal tragedy, but the necessity of the war itself.
