For decades, hairy creatures have been associated with the UFO phenomenon. In 1954, Venezuela was besieged by short, stocky creatures, with glowing yellow eyes. This particular hairy humanoid was particularly aggressive, scratching many witnesses. The link between the two phenomena would become stronger in the early 70s after a series of sightings in Missouri, Illinois, Indiana and Pennsylvania.
