Dr. Royce Avery was hired as the Deputy Superintendent of schools in Bridgeport as part of Dr. Carmela Levy-David’s executive cabinet. But last month, Dr. Avery is the acting superintendent of schools in Bridgeport and is now facing many challenges including budget cuts. We got to know Dr. Avery and addressed the uphill battle he faces while holding this position.
