Morean Arts Center - Fresh Squeezed 9 Runs March 15- June 22

The Morean Arts Center's anticipated Fresh Squeezed 9 debuts March 15, showcasing emerging artists. The Morean's Chief Curator Amanda Cooper and Marketing Coordinator June Bunch previewed the history of the exhibit and what visitors can expect when it goes on view March 15-June 22.  Opening reception for Fresh Squeezed 9 is Saturday, April 12 5pm-8pm at the Morean Arts Center 719 Central Ave. and the Chihuly Collection Featured Artist Gallery, 720 Central Ave. Fresh Squeezed 9 Artists features Mary-Helen Horne, Benedicta Opoku-Mensah, Caroline Crawford, Norbert Gonsalves, Lily Capierseho, Hannah Keats, Stella Arbeláez Tascón and Ryan Toth.
The Morean recently invited emerging artists currently residing in Florida to submit entries for possible exhibition in the ninth annual Fresh Squeezed: Emerging Artists in Florida. Our Fresh Squeezed program aims to provide emerging artists with resources needed to develop a sustainable artistic practice. The purpose of this exhibition is to nurture and advance the careers of emerging visual artists while also giving our community the opportunity to discover exciting new art being made in our region.
