Climbing up the medieval spire of St. Olaf's church - a 258-step climb, during which you can clearly hear the creak of the large rope banister we use to haul ourselves up the stairs as we record (as well as the sound of heavy breathing!).
The spire is extremely narrow, with stone steps, making it very tricky to pass people coming in the other direction, but the views of the Old Town at the top are well worth the effort.
UNESCO listing: Historic Centre (Old Town) of Tallinn
Recorded by Cities and Memory.
