Melissa in the Morning: Young Gamblers and Betters

Connecticut made online gambling and sports betting legal a few years ago and ever since then, we’ve seen more and more young people get into gambling. And now, a new research survey conducted by a team at UConn found that 72% of undergraduate students at colleges in Connecticut reported participating in some form of gambling in the past year. We spoke with Mallory Schultz, Prevention Manager at Connecticut Council on Problem Gambling, about the results and what can be done to better educate the younger generation of gamblers.
