Sushi’s global presence is indisputable. Did we hear you say “Shooko o dase” which is “Prove it” in Japanese? Okay. March 8th was International Women’s Day, a holiday created in 1911 to celebrate the economic, political and social achievements of women. Women in each country mark the holiday in their own way: some march, some meet, some eat. Such is the case in Warsaw where an enterprising restaurant owner offered free sushi to women on their special day. Free sushi served on the nude body of a male model, that is. Women were invited to use chopsticks to pluck tidbits of this Japanese staple off his chest, his belly, his…yeah, that too. One woman claimed sushi eaten this way tastes better.
