Spain beat Italy 4-0 in the Euro 2012 football finals this Sunday at the Olympic Stadium in Kiev. The defending champions were up 2-0 by halftime, and dominated throughout the game. Italy struggled to compete and eventually lost all of its substitute players. This was the third major tournament victory for Spain, after winning Euro 2008 and the 2010 World Cup. Prior to these wins, it had been over 40 years since Spain had enjoyed a major victory. Spain striker Fernando Torres won the Golden Boot award after scoring three goals in this year’s tournament. #WeeklyNews
