Melissa in the Morning: Flood Insurance

After a flooding event like the one in Connecticut on August 18th, 2024, navigating insurance claims became crucial for recovery. Homeowners and business owners alike were caught with little to no insurance coverage and there were calls for the Insurance Department to step up and help Connecticut residents. One year later, what if anything has changed with flood insurance? We spoke with Gerard O’Sullivan, Assistant Deputy Commissioner of Consumer Affairs at the Connecticut Insurance Department.
