Idiot and Wife: Dishwasher Dilemma 9-10-25

Jeremy is facing quite a dilemma today regarding his dishwasher. Recently, he and his wife had some guests over, and the kids accidentally broke the front part of their dishwasher. Right away, Jeremy mentioned that the kids wouldn't need to cover the cost of the new parts, but now he and his wife are reconsidering that decision since it's a bit expensive. What should they do? Should they ask for the money back or just let it slide?
