The government shutdown is continuing at the crux of the issue is health insurance subsidies. The deadline for those credits to make insurance a little more affordable expire December 31st and for many Connecticut residents, especially in Fairfield County, health insurance is about to get so unaffordable, many will probably forego paying for it. We got more perspective from Comptroller Sean Scanlon, who manages health insurance for state employees and retirees.
