On July 18, 2007, 55-year-old Barbara Bolick and her hiking partner, Jim, traversed Barbara’s favorite hiking trail leading out to Bear Creek Overlook near Victor, MT. After taking in the scenic view of Bitterroot National Forest, the pair started heading back.
Jim, who had never hiked this trail, decided to stop and look back at the breathtaking view one last time. Less than a minute later, he turned around to catch up to Barbara, but she was gone. After an extensive search by law enforcement both on the ground and from the air, no trace of Barbara Bolick has ever been found.
