What do you do when life hits you with loss, illness, and pain all at once—and you’re still called to show up?

In this episode of Listen Bitch Presents: Tell Me Why You’re Special, Branden sits down with Minister Alma Thomas, a woman whose story will stop you in your tracks.

After losing her 18-year-old son, surviving a stroke, and now facing a cancer diagnosis, Alma didn’t quit—she answered the call. From writing books with one hand to continuing her ministry from her bed, she shares what it truly means to choose faith over bitterness.

This conversation dives deep into grief, mental health, resilience, and the reality of walking with God through unimaginable circumstances. Alma opens up about turning pain into purpose, building a scholarship fund in her son’s honor, and why your story—no matter how broken—still has a calling on it.

If you’ve ever questioned your strength, your faith, or your purpose… this episode will meet you there and pull you forward.
